“My role,” said the chief designer at Roth Design Group in Los Angeles “is to act as an interpreter, and to be problem solver, team organizer, creative visionary, as well as a psychologist. We incorporate design principles and processes with fun, enthusiasm, passion and integrity. What you receive is hard to measure and value, but when it is done, you know that it is right and perfect for you.”

In its 20-plus years, Roth Design Group has designed sets for more than 1,100 commercials and films.

In addition to its film industry experience, the full-service design firm specializes in new construction and renovations as well as concept design for residential, office and restaurants. Its sub-specialties are architecture, bathroom design, color consulting, commercial design, entertainment/set design, furniture design, hotel design, interior design, kitchen design, luxury design, space planning and window treatment.

“What we do is use our visual expertise to create collected modern interiors that incorporate the perfect balance of lighting, drama, color, form and architecture to express your aesthetic vision,” said Roth.

Primary styles include coastal, contemporary, country, eclectic, English country, minimalist, modern, rustic, Southwest, transitional and urban loft.

Roth holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in environmental design from the California College of Arts. He is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, ASID Los Angeles Chapter, Certified Interior Decorators International, the American Institute of Architects and the IA Art Directors Guild.

He has won a host of awards, including Gold Lion and Silver Lion awards for production design at the Cannes Film Festival a First Place Mobius Advertising Award, an International Automotive Advertising Award and London International Advertising Award as well as numerous Clio awards for his work in commercials.

Roth’s work has been published in “Spectacular Homes of California,” “LA Design Magazine,” “CSQ Magazine,” “JustLuxe,” “Stone World Magazine,” and “Los Angeles Magazine.”

According to Roth, “design is what makes life functional, comfortable, beautiful and rewarding. It is like creating a work of art that you live in and love. We design more than what you believe you want and desire because we see who you are on the inside and reflect it in your personal space.

“Imagine living in the perfect space. When you see your new interior for the first time, it should take your breath away because it is you personified.”
