Growing up on the mainland in Rhode Island, Michele recalls fond memories of watching her father build a home – paying close attention to the construction process even at the young age of three. Little did she know that she would later go on to become one of Honolulu’s most successful and sought after interior designers.

Upon graduating with an architecture degree in 1985 from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC., Michele’s career was jump started when she began working for two companies that catered to a specialized designing service for the US Embassies and Consulates – all of which led her to expand her experience and gain in-depth knowledge of creating spaces for diverse projects all around the world.

Her big move to the Hawaiian islands came when her personal life evolved – placing her in Honolulu to start a new chapter in her now married life, and going on to establish the D’Amico Design Group in 1995. Michele has since gone on to become one of Hawaii’s most influential designers. With a past presidency in Hawaii’s ASID, Michele has also been featured in numerous publications, such as Hawaiian Style Magazine, as well as having her work featured in two architectural books.

Michele’s thorough process of establishing the needs and wants of a client is just one of the many reasons she has a large base of satisfied customers. With a firm belief that a designer must “design to a client’s tastes”, and not the other way around, she has broke ground and continues to gain respect in all areas of designing, including; commercial, residential, retail, remodels and additions, with D’Amico Design Group handling everything from permit processing to construction.
