Held every two years, the IRIS Expo takes the design industry under their wing to offer them a unique, informative, creative and fun event aimed at helping re-designers and decorators increase their business skills, establish trade resources, and offer tools that are essential to any decorator’s business. The IRIS 2011 Conference and Expo event is an opportunity to network with the industry’s finest re-designers, home staging experts and other trade-related professionals that will serve to benefit all Interior Designers, no matter what their level of expertise.

IRIS EXPO July 31 – August 2, 2011

For two full days (with an optional third to attend the Las Vegas Marketplace), IRIS will engage professionals from all aspects of the designing industry with thought provoking seminars, exhibits, tips and techniques, as well as conference workshops that are geared towards the trends of redesigning and decorating. The Expo will cover such topics as; decorating for community colleges, libraries, furniture or consignment stores, women’s luncheons and community events, as well as learning how to present to Real Estate agents.

Guest speaker Sandy Dixon, Executive Director of IRIS, also a re-design and Home Staging authority – will be at the forefront offering the workshop “Speaking Your Way to Success”, where she teaches strategies and techniques that will “enhance your creditably in the redesign/staging field” by showing you how to speak effectively in front of large or small groups. Her instructional and interactive workshop will assist you in being more relaxed, creating a plan, engaging your audience, gaining confidence and eliminating anxiety using tools you’ll need to grow your business and your bottom line.

Formed in 1999, IRIS is the oldest non-profit and volunteer-run redesign, staging and decorating organization in the nation. With a strong volunteer membership in their Board of Directors, as well as various design committees, they continue to bring a new level of excitement and strength to the design industry by offering ongoing education, training and business development opportunities for those wishing to succeed in the highest level of interior redesign, staging and decorating services – including residential and commercial clients.

Coinciding with the IRIS Expo is the annual Las Vegas Market – which boasts of nearly 5 million square feet of “everything that is new and unexpected in the world of home furnishings”. As an extension to the conference, IRIS is offering an Las Vegas Market orientation to help their attendees get the most out of the event and increase their overall experience.
