Washington, D.C. Interior Designer, Ebonee Bachman
Most girls of a certain generation fondly remember playing with the Barbie Doll – dressing her in fabulous outfits and getting her ready for her date with Ken. Washington, D.C. Interior Designer, Ebonee Bachman; however, wasn’t as concerned with what Barbie was wearing, as she was about where Barbie was living.
Ebonee’s passion for Interior Decorating and Design surfaced early at the ripe old age of nine when she took matters into her own hands and custom built a dream home for Barbie that would rival any bought off a store shelf.
This completely furnished, stylishly detailed Barbie abode, was handcrafted from miscellaneous scraps of wood and fabric pieces gathered from her childhood home – essentially making Barbie her very first client.
Even as a child customizing Barbie Doll houses, Ebonee Bachman would scour the local paper to check out newly listed real estate just so she could spend an afternoon dreaming of how she’d decorate and design that particular home; all of which fueled her desire to become an Interior Designer and influenced her decision to study Interior Design at Radford University.
Ebonee’s career has blossomed since the days of furnishing Barbie’s home. Now owner of her own successful design firm, Moonlight Interiors, she is becoming one of the most sought after and well respected Interior Designers in the Washington area and beyond. She is quick to give credit for her “big break” to Shea Studio’s Interiors, where she not only “mastered the art of project management”, but she excelled at raising the bar for client satisfaction.
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Project Management, Ebonee is constantly striving to be the best she can be in all aspects of her career and life. She presently serves as a Sergeant in the Army reserves where she challenges herself both physically and mentally, all while looking forward to her next adventure in custom designing interiors for all her client’s dream homes.
