How are InteriorDesignPro referrals different from other sites out there?

InteriorDesignPro is built around a philosophy of better referrals, lower prices, and friendlier service. We also give professionals better tools to manage the referrals we send them.

How many professionals get the same referral?

We send our referrals to a maximum of 4 professionals. Most other services send them to 7 or more (and without screening them). We feel that is too much competition for professionals and too many calls for consumers.

How does billing work?

Professionals can purchase referrals with any major credit card. They are able to update their credit card information whenever purchasing a new referral or at any time from within their account settings.

How much do referrals cost?

Members with free Standard Listings can purchase referrals for $24.00 each. Featured Listing members can purchase referrals at half that price which is $12.00 each referral. There is no minimum to purchase and professionals can accept or decline any referral they choose.

How many referrals will I get?

There is no way for us to determine exactly how many referrals you will get. It depends on your location and how many other professionals are in your area. It also depends on other factors like how many referrals you have already accepted or declined and your general history with us.

How many referrals will turn into jobs?

We do not make any types of guarantees as to how many referrals will turn into jobs. Professionals with good communication skills and a strong sales and follow up process in place tend to have more success turning referrals into jobs.

If you are not comfortable talking to people, have poor English skills, or have poor sales skills, you may want to find someone else to handle those aspects of the referrals to increase your chances of success.

How do you screen your referrals?

When a consumer sends a request to work with a professional, we immediately call them to ensure that a working phone number has been provided, to learn more about the scope of the project, to inform the consumer that they should expect to hear from a professional who will want to set up a consultation, and to give the consumer an opportunity to cancel the request if they do not wish to proceed. Although referrals are not a guarantee for a job, we do our best to gather as much information as possible to make sure that the consumer is serious about working with a professional.

What happens if I get a "bad" referral?

We define a bad referral as any referral with invalid contact information, a referral where the consumer claims they never submitted a request, or a referral where the person who submitted the request is not part of the hiring decision. If you get a "bad" referral we will provide a credit on your account that can be applied towards future referrals you choose to accept. Requests for refunds or credits MUST be submitted within 30 days of purchasing the referral.

Occasionally you may get a referral for someone with a low budget or who is not interested in your work. While we do not officially credit for these, we may make exceptions based on your credit history with us.

Will I be able to see a preview of a referral before accepting (or declining) it?

Yes. InteriorDesignPro offers referral previews and matches professionals with referrals based on location and services requested.

How will I be notified when there is a new referral?

Immediately after we verify the phone number and speak with the consumer over the phone, emails are sent to the four professionals who best match the details of the project. Those four professionals may or may not choose to purchase the referral.

The emails will contain all the project details that were provided to InteriorDesignPro. Additionally, you may view the status of all your referrals from within your InteriorDesignPro account under the menu tab titled "Manage Referrals". Upon accepting and purchasing a referral, all the information needed to contact the consumer will be available.
