About Colorado State University

The Interior Design program provides students with broad exposure to aspects of the practice of interior design at the entry level. The program is grounded in research-based problem solving in addition to a variety of cultural, environmental, and historic perspectives. The Interior Design program is accredited through the Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), recognizing the highest academic standards established by the profession.

Undergraduates may apply to the major as entering first year students, second bachelor candidates, transfer students and those deciding to change majors at any point in their academic career. After completing two required core discipline courses and maintaining a 2.5 GPA, student may participate in the Design Scenario required to advance into the major.


The BS in Interior Design encompasses a sequence of courses providing a strong basis from which team and individual solutions to problems can be demonstrated.
