family library in staircase and moveable bookcaseKidSpace Interiors News Adobe flash!! I love books and possess a large family library.. but that is not the news flash. Its due to my book obsession (and kidspace design expertise) I was interviewed simply by Stephanie Vozza for her recent article Building a Family Library for the Costco Connection, a lifestyle journal for Costco members.

Heres the start of the article.

As an Interior Designer devoted to spaces for kids, Jeanette Simpson ensured her own childrens bedrooms were welcoming and cozy. But the most important furniture piece she added wasnt the bed, it had been the bookcase.

Reading is important to a family, and we have a discussed library,. (Catch the rest HERE. )

Not sure where my love of publications began. Could have begun with a cautious examination of the Scholastic book purchase form and thrill of purchasing my own books.

Might have been a wonderful school library full of classic books. Possibly from my 3rd quality teacher who read classics such as Caddie Woodlawn and The Key Garden to us each day right after lunch.

vintage booksMost likely was support from my mother, an avid long term reader herself who introduced myself to Jane Eyre through Visitors Digest Best Loved Books.

That enjoy of books continues in my KidSpace design business where books invariably is an important part of each kids space project. Here are a few blog posts with suggestions for reading areas and maintaining books nearby.

And a BIG THANKS to Stephanie for the job interview and great article!!
