About Brigid Wethington

B. Chic Interiors Principal Designer Brigid Wethington has been inspired by good design her entire life. Growing up in Ellicott City, she spent much of her time rearranging her room, and, circa 1986, famously cried when she didnt get the waterbed she so desperately wanted for her birthday. Brigid earned a degree in Marketing and Business Administration from Towson University, where she spent much of her timerearranging her furniture. After graduation, Brigid spent eight years working in sales and marketing, but ultimately was compelled to return to her first love: design, founding B. Chic Interiors in 2007. In 2009, Brigid received a certificate in Interior Design from Maryland Institute College of Art. She and her husband, Justin, live in Columbia with their two small children.

I highly recommend B CHIC.

Brigid helped select new paint color schemes and furnitute rearranging for my LR, DR.FR and large 2 story foyer area. She is ingenious, imaginative, high spirited, and warmly enthusiastic besides being excellent at what she does. I absolutely love the results she recommended!! Definitly an A+.

CITYPAPER OFFICE

Brigid did an outstanding job redecorating & redesigning my office. She has an excellent eye for color and is so good at mixing pieces together that I would have never thought of on my own . . .she found the most beautiful antique mirror, gorgeous lamp (for only $20!) and mixed those eclectic pieces with some brand new furniture and art. Not only does my office look a million times better, it is much more functional and truly fits my everyday needs. I am constantly complimented on my office. Brigid is extremely easy to work with, very personable, flexible and an asset to anyone with interior design or decorating needs.

"Wow" Your house is beautiful!

Brigid has helped me redesign 2 bathrooms, a dining room, kitchen, living room and play room. She has AMAZING sense of colors (I always get compliments on the paint choice) and she is the QUEEN of choosing ways to make high visual impact within a modest budget. She worked with our family lifestyle patterns to rearrange the kitchen/dining/playroom space so that I could keep an eye on the kids while cooking dinner, found the perfect place to relocate the TV to make both my husband and kids happy, and saved a separate space to be clutter-free for entertaining guests. Our house now "works" in a much more functional way -- making the house feel like we have gained an extra room without any construction! On top of all her fabulous expertise, Brigid is a joy to work with - fun , funny and super supportive.

Brigid was consulted to help choose furniture and layout for two rooms and to help design layout and accessories for three more. She has a wonderful gift of getting to the heart of what the customer wants- even when her customer's can't adequately express what they need. She has a talent for understanding space and her consultations are budget friendly and not intimidating. Brigid transformed our new home, and I look forward to working with her for all of my future home interior design needs.
