About Deb Barrett
As a design creative and founder of the design firm, Window Dressings, Deb Barrett is a nationally known window fashions designer whose specialty is finding creative solutions to challenging design. Deb is most well known and has built a reputation for cutting edge couture treatments. A five-time winner of the Window Fashions Design Competition, her work has caught the attention of Better Homes and Gardens Windows and Walls, Decorating Ideas and Inspired House among others.
With a strong foundation in design and the fashion business, I practice real life decorating with a focus on couture, bespoke window fashions. My work has taken me through nearly every design aesthetic and style and I pride myself on not having a pigeonholed or formatted style.
My mission to help my clients define their taste and create window dressings that reflect their passions and enhance their lifestyles. In all my projects, I try to make design choices based on my philosophy that a great room needs a great window treatment and it doesn't have to mean sacrificing style, quality or effectiveness.
My recommendations are based on and impact the way my clients actually live and interact in their environment. I believe that I should listen to the clients issues, problem solve and give her options .The outcome is completely personal soft furnishings.
These things I know for sure:
A sense of humor is essential
You cant be afraid to try something new
Its all in the details
Design is collaboration; the designer is the catalyst
