About Melissa Salamoff
Melissa approaches each project in a fresh way, drawing from a range of inspiration, including nature, art and textile design. She combines her personal inspiration with a thorough understanding of each client's needs to create unique spaces characterized by warmth and alure.
Melissa's love of design started early. Growing up, life was infused with art and nature. Weekends were filled with trips to museums, art classes and playing in the backyard garden and family trips regularly included visits to architectural landmarks. Melissa studied art for many years and her love of design transformed into interior design. Immediately after receiving a B.A. in interior design, she was hired by Walt Disney Imagineering to work on projects in Tokyo ranging from Bon Voyage - the retail hub at the entry to the parks - to the Miracosta Hotel.
After 15 years experience in the design world working for large architectural firms, Melissa has branched out on her own, designing a range of work, from a kitchen remodel of a fashionable little home in Silver Lake, to the interiors of a sleek contemporary home in Beverly Hills, and the interiors and public spaces for high rise condominium towers in Los Angeles.
No matter what the project type or scale is, Melissa's mission is to create stylish, inviting spaces for her clients that are true to their tastes and needs.
