BK Barrit Offers Innovative Seating Solutions

BK Barrit works with the owners of  a variety of businesses or facilities to create chairs perfectly suited for their respective situation. The business, based in Valley Forge, Penn. and founded in 1997,  is a manufacturer and wholesaler of furniture serving a wide range of customers’ seating needs, said BK Barrit President Bryson Kershner.

“In these challenging times, we need to look for new and creative ways to provide our clients with the alternatives they require to meet their budgetary and functional needs,” said Kershner. “Barrit can provide that alternative.”

BK Barrit can manufacture customers’ existing designs as well as modify existing designs or create new designs from scratch.

In addition to restaurants and offices, BK Barrit has completed work for stadiums, hotels and motels, libraries, country clubs, chapels, colleges, theaters, synagogues and more.

The company earned Design Journal’s 2012 Platinum ADEX Award for its three custom chair designs.

ADEX stands for Awards for Design Excellence and is the largest and considered the most prestigious awards program for product design of furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade. Design Journal, the international trade publication for interior designers, architects and facility managers is the awarding sponsor of the ADEX Awards.

“BK Barrit products were gleaned from thousands of entries and earned the coveted ADEX Award based on a force-ranking of form, function and fitness for a particular purpose,” said John Moses, Design Journal’s Publisher. “The contest was the most competitive to date, with each company entering an average of 4.2 products into the competition.

BK Barrit’s Custom Sanctuary Chair, Pollock Elis 1 and BDNY Chair all received our highest Platinum and Gold Awards.”

BK Barrit manufactures seating from wood and/or metal. It offers nearly 3,000 styles of seating in addition to its custom services.

Prior to purchasing Barrit Corp, a furniture manufacturing company, in 1997, Kershner  worked as a sales leader and manager at CB Kershner Office Furniture for 16 years.
