North Carolina Designer’s Work Spans Geography, Architectural Styles

Nancy Olson isn’t intimidated by architectural variation. The Pinehurst, N.C. interior designer has performed her work on log homes in Wisconsin, villas in the mountains of North Carolina, and coastal homes in Sarasota Bay, Fla. and the Bahamas.

Olson, who founded Nancy Olson Interiors, Inc. in 2007, earned her bachelor’s of arts degree in design at the University of Iowa.

Throughout her 15 years as a designer, she has worked on all phases of projects, from space planning and accessorizing to color selections and staging to sell. “I use my talented vision to bring a home to life,” she said. “Staying up to date on the latest design trends worldwide, I make sure my design projects stay on the cutting edge while staying true to my client’s taste and lifestyle.”

Working within a wide range of budgets, Olson¬†takes her charge to reflect all her clients’ tastes and identities seriously. d”Interior Design is the process by which we develop and maintain our surroundings,” she said.

Olson is mindful of the fact that most of her clients come to her not only owing to her artistic talent and professional skill, but because they are too inundated with daily life to take on their own interior design.¬†“At Nancy Olson Interiors, Inc., my goal is to design and create comfortable and sophisticated interiors for busy people,” she said.

However, that does not mean she bows to the pressures of life’s hectic pace when it comes to designing her projects. “Many designers race toward a finish line, but finished to me means taking just a little bit longer, the end result being absolutely stunning.”
